Baby oil also works great for softening scabs on the scalp. Massage a few drops into your baby's scalp and leave on – preferably overnight. The oil gently dissolves the dry skin so that the scab can be removed more easily. Use a soft brush or a fine-toothed comb to gently lift the scab off. If necessary, you can wash your hair afterwards to clean the scalp. The treatment can be repeated until the scab has completely disappeared.
